My brew

This is my latest brew. Have been making it since 1995

I use a reptile mat to heat it inside an otterman type wooden box with a lid on to maintain a constant temp

of about 30degC. It takes 7 days to brew

That's probably the healthiest looking s.c.o.b.y. I've ever seen Dave! What tea do you normally use? Your s.c.o.b.y. is very light. I find if I use 'black' tea the s.c.o.b.y. tends to go brown or rather beige coloured. Once it discolours it then stays like that until I start a fresh batch with a 'daughter' s.c.o.b.y.

I use green tea thats why it not brown colour. I have always used green tea.

Thought so. Green tea has more antitoxicants. Have you tried flavoured green tea Dave - like pomegranate or citrus? I notice ginger is another favourite addition with some brewers - nice in winter I guess, but I've not tried it.

No I have not tried flavoured tea in fact I did not know the did them. I think I will stick with what I know is ok.
