I am a new gardener and have a lot to learn, I am finding it hard to get to grips with this website, but will keep perservering.
I did post a note about when is the right time to sow onions and garlic and if anyone had any really good varieties they could recommend, but no onewappears to have seen it,or, they just havent responded to it, so I dont know if I have posted it in the wrong place.
So, this isnt a blog as such, its more about asking for some help and information, and with nearly 100 members I feel sure I will get a reply this time.
Is there much work that can be done in a garden at this time of year for either fruits,veggies, flowers, plants etc? It all looks so dreary and wet out there, I guess the amount of rain we have had over the winter doesnt help with sowing.. but.. what do I know, it could be ideal conditions!!

There is much you can do, but first , do you have a greenhouse, or somewhere you can sow seeds ?

New sites do take a bit of time to get used to. Have you read the guide? It can help a bit, but if you really run into problems just contact me directly.
ONE BIG TIP make friends and join groups! I suggest you make everyone on the site your friend. Start with the more active ones, you don't have to wait to be invited. We have actually modified the site recently (but after you joined unfortunately - so you still have to do it manually) so that all new members from now on are made EVERYONE'S friend automatically and visa versa. If you don't want someone as a friend you can just remove them in your profile.
When you post anything your "friends" are notified, so if you don't have many friends your posts can go unnoticed until someone stumbles on them.
If you have a questions you can either post it on the "Members Questions" group, or just bring it up as a discussion in an appropriate group.
I'll have a peek to see where you posted your original question and I'll try and answer it for you.
