June weather?
« on: June 02, 2014, 01:38:45 PM »
Not exactly 'flaming June' here on the west coast today. It's nice and fresh (well quite cold actually) we had a shower this morning - it's overcast now but pleasant working weather, but not what I'd call 'summer weather'. Will venture down on the plot this pm - as long as we have no more showers. "I wonder if the soil will be dry enough to do a bit of earthing up later?" I ask myself . . . .

Sowesters weather for the rest of the week apparently  usf:-(

Light rain here ....was going to sharpen my shears and trim the edges.......think its just a bit of weeding and sowing some seeds in greenhouse today.

Quite nice here today, but very muggy - feels like thunder weather. A bit sticky for working on the plot this afternoon, it did freshen up a little tonight, but then we had a short shower. Showers promised tomorrow.

We didn't get a thunderstorm, but it's rained as if a thundersrorm had been - only contiuously. I've just taken Her Indoors down to the local hospital for a check-up appointment & called back with a big umbrella to see if it's flooding on the lottie site - IT IS and if this rain keeps up it'll be a pond later!

We had the heavy rain and hail storm just over a week ago by the time the hail stopped the ground was white it looked like it had snowed ...We had the rain here this morning but have not had any since midday but listening to the local radio there has been places local to us that have had the rain think we will have some before the end of the night ..

Well it's a clear start here today so hopefully I can finish getting my onions weeded.

Was also hoping to carry on in the big greenhouse setting out this years tomatoes (surprise surprise), peppers, cucamelons, yard long beans (you gotta try these if you haven't already) etc. but I owe my biodiesel buddy, Julian, a favour so it's over to his this pm to do some welding for his new waste oil settlement tank.

Looks a bit more like June again here today. More rain forecast for the weekend though - thundery heavy rain they reckon - I hope the sun & breeze dry things out enough to have a bash this evening & tomorrow.

Hope to go and collect some goodies from Granell Nursery this afternoon - barter for their ad on my sites. I feel a head scratch coming on . . .

Not as nice as yesterday here. It's OK just a little overcast & cool this morning (those nice people at the Met office got it wrong again!). Supposed to be hot & sunny today, humid with heavy thunder storms tomorrow - I guess it'll have to be a case of 'wait & see' once more - makes a hash of plans though . . .   ss:-(
