Spring weather
« on: March 20, 2014, 07:25:57 PM »
Today is the first day of spring just hoping it,s going to get better as todays  weather here has been windy very windy and now it,s pouring of rain although the good thing about the rain is it will settle the dust from the fen blow we had earlier .
On the plus side we had a couple of hours at the allotment and did a bit more work at this rate we will be already for the seed sowing frenzy when it begins ..

Alright for you 'easterners'! It's freezing cold, windy & wet here on the west coast. True to form - when March "comes in like a lamb it usually goes out like a lion". Certainly the case here today.

Sunday/ Monday night predicted to be the coldest this last winter/ spring. Well that's nice to know. Possibly down to -6oC in some places apparently. Do you remember where you put the plant fleece? Or for that matter do you remember where you put your own woolly cap & overcoat?  what:-o

The sun shone today - but it's deceptively cold. Tonight it's raining - that horrible cold type rain. No frost here yet, but apparently it's been down to well below zero inland. We may get our socks blown off in the gales on the coast, but at least we're safe from Jack Frost!.
