On my walk in the garden this morning.
« on: December 19, 2013, 12:14:11 AM »
It is nice and cool in the garden at the moment. Had a walk around with my camera and spied an unusual site. Frangipanis normally have 5 petals but I have heard it is lucky if you get one with 6, well this morning I found a white one with 6 petals, so better buy a ticket for tonight's $40million Powerball draw. Also one on the cuttings of of my Frangipani "Fruit Salad" had bloomed.

Thank you rugbypost............no the house is North facing....we are the opposite to you being in the southern hemisphere.
I planted it so it was easy to look after, only really have to cut the hedges and every few years get the Jacaranda tree lopped off.

Winter temps, well the coldest day I have ever had was 13ºC, but some nights it has gone down to 1ºC......we have a yearly average of 8 hours sun a day.
