One of the chaps on my allotment has done this with the added bonus of debri netting to protect them aswell.

Would you use that for cabbages too if it was low enough to keep them off the floor and clean I can see that being a good idea. Or just sprouts and broccoli but would not the later two prefer a nice solid stake and being tied as in the wind they could move in the wire ?
I have no idea what I talking about mind just picking things up

Definitely going to give that a go then looks good and keeps things off the floor out way of slugs too.
So just a case of putting a piece of that over your plants x amount high and let them find their way through it ?
