If I attempted that today I fear that little bits of my anatomy might go brittle & drop off!! Not a chance here either Di.

However I feel duty bound to remind you of brave Tommo's exploits last year!

Hasn't a year flown by? Talking of Tommo (the naked gardener) - has anyone heard from him lately? I hope he's OK.

Yep that's confirmed somewhere  there is a post from Tommo that says he is in NZ for a whole month from April 12th. A poor excuse for not keeping  in touch though!!

No he's not in NZ, it got called off at the last minute - he phoned me to let me know. Ruth hasn't been very well with her rheumatoid arthritis & didn't think she could face the journey with her current health.

He did tell me he was in a flat spin because he was trying to catch up. he'd originally resigned himself to flying off & having to drop tools, but with the new development he's started again - but later than expected. He grows seedlings on almost a commercial scale, including bedding plants for his garden shop & has regulars that depend on him. However his total absence on here is starting to make me wonder if everything is OK down there with him in Devon  spf:-(

Not sure what the time of day was but probably mid to late afternoon yesterday I did see that our Tommo was logged into the forum - so not totally absent!
